IRISH QUARTET FOR WOMEN’S 4X400M RELAY AT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS NAMED

The Irish quartet for the Women’s 4x400m Relay heats that take place this evening (August 26th) at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest has been named.

Sophie Becker (Raheny Shamrock’s A.C.), Roisin Harrison (Emerald A.C.), Kelly McGrory (Tir Chonaill A.C.) and Sharlene Mawdsley (Newport A.C.) have been selected by team management and will run in that order.

Becker and Mawdsley have already been in action at these championships, with Harrison and McGrory taking to the track at the National Athletics Centre for the first time.

Ireland are in Heat Two at 7:07pm Irish Time.
